Horses, Steam and the First Fifty Years of Tractors.

In the third volume of The Tractor Story horses, steam traction engines and ploughing engines share the stage with the first early tractors.

We see how they developed from basic pulling machines to the more sophisticated tractors of the 1950’s and 60’s.

Starting at the The Museum of East Anglian Life in Stowmarket, Suffolk to admire their fine collection of steam powered machines, we then take a look look at many classic tractor names from this era, seen both working and at Cheffins Vintage auctions.

This third and final programme concludes with a cavalcade of tractors featured from all 3 programmes covering 14 decades.
